

Obama In Berlin: Tear Down These Placards

The organizers of what Wonkette refers to as Senator Obama’s “European/Central Asian/ Middle East luxury basketball vacation” have hit some snags on the upcoming German leg of the tour.
First there was the brouhaha about using the Brandenburg Gate as a backdrop. Now there are some questions being raised about the example being given to the Germans —who are caught up in admiration for the man they’re calling “Der Schwarze Kennedy” — by the Obama campaign’s heavy handed decision (which is understandable but probably unnecessary) to forbid any visible protests in the form of posters or signs or even bags with printed sentiments.
