Since our sciptures clearly denounce the act of homosexuality as an abomination to God, yes father, it is right to prevent homosexuals from entering the priesthood.
I am sure that most Anglicans are glad you are not calling yourself one either. BD

    Thanks for your post.

1 Cor. 14: 34-35 (NRSV): “Women should be silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as the law also says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home.”

Are women allowed to speak in your church?

    Advent blessings.

BUT, JOHN = ARE YOU NOT(?) PART OF THE WORLD-WIDE “ANGLICAN COMMUNION” in recognizing the Archbishop of Canterbury as a leader?

JOHN, DO YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS on the recent Roman Catholic group meeting with the Archibishop in London – then announcing quite suddenly [before the Archbshop had ample opportunity for prayerful consideration and/or consultation with his denomination] “an offer”for dis-affected [formerly of Episcopal Church of the U.S.A.] bishops or priests to become Roman Catholics, while retaining their marriages? This seems to me to smack blatantly of proselytizing!

An alternative option waas presented — less blatanty, it seems t me — in Bedford, TX during 22-24 June 2009 conference in forming newly “The Anglican Church of North America”!

Breaking his self-imposed silence on the schism was Senior Pastor RICK WARREN of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA = Any dis-affected Episcopalians – cum: Anglicans – were invited to use Saddleback-affiliate property for Eucharist (communion) celebrations or other meetings — pending resolution of the protracted property disputes = in which local parishes are pitting in courts “vs.” The Presiding Episcopal Bishop in New York City — she formerly of the NV Diocese in Las Vegas!

Pastor RICK WARREN’s “offer”strikes me as far less prosyletizing – than that presented recenty in London, by a group of Roman Catholic clerics – of whom it was certainly not clear whether they were authorized to speak by The Holy Father himself (Pope Benedict)!

WHEN BUSINESS in the commercial space sector has me in Las Vegas, I make very effort to attend Christ Church Episcopal chapel for their Wednesday 12:05 p.m. [PST] Eucharist celebrations.

During the interim = I am in frequent e-mail contact with (1) Bishop Dan Edwards (of the Episcopal NV Diocese in Las Vegas) and (2) Bishop Mark Lawrence (in South Carolina) — to that worthy & honorable end of schism.

At those communion times of solicited public prayer, I continue to pray – and shall keep praying, for as long as is necessary – for GOD’s inspired resolution, within our current schism among Episcopalians and emergent dis-ffected Anglicans throughout this country.

BTW = Further when in Las Vegas, I ALSO TRY to join with conservative Jews @ Temple Beth Shalom in their services & post-sermon discussions [with abundant food] — to reacquaint with my JUDEO-Christian roots, too! ;-)

Got something to say?
