		<description>The power of a television speech does not have the same impact today.  I am sure there is another &quot;silent majority&quot; alive and well in the US.  It is very difficult, in these technological times, to have all of the majority watch a moving speech through the same medium (like a television screen) at the same time.

President Nixon struck a positive and hopeful nerve in the Nations consciousness that was already frayed by constant negative reports about the Vietnam War.  The overwhelming barrage of messages to the White House is proof enough.</description>
